I’ve lived many lives before becoming “Mum.” From the film sets of Mumbai to the fashion capitals of Europe, my career in the entertainment industry took me around the world and introduced me to inspiring women from every walk of life. But nothing could have prepared me for the journey into motherhood.
When I welcomed my two little ones — my son and my daughter — into the world here in
Sydney, my life shifted completely. Alongside the joy came deep challenges. I experienced pre- and post-natal depression both times, and in the process, I also faced the breakdown of my marriage. Motherhood tested me in ways that felt life-or-death — suddenly I carried full responsibility for two little lives, while grappling with the loss of the independent woman I once knew.
But over time, I began to rebuild — stronger, bolder, and more grounded than before. My healing came through education, community, and wellness. I trained as a pre- and post-natal doula, studied dialectical behavioural therapy, and became a certified herbalist. I realised that a mother’s wellness — emotional, physical, and spiritual — is not optional.
It’s the foundation of her family’s well-being.
Along this journey, I discovered what my friends, my community, and I needed most: real,
practical, everyday support. The kind of “village” that many of us no longer have. A reminder that we are seen, celebrated, and worthy of care.
That’s how Yummy Mummy was born — a brand that’s equal parts nurturing, uplifting, and a little glamorous. From meaningful jewellery that whispers “you’ve got this,” to gift baskets that help partners and loved ones say “thank you,” every product is designed to make the motherhood journey just a little more joyful.
My audience has been with me since my first film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in 2013, and together we’ve evolved into new seasons of life — raising families, building new homes across the world, and learning who we are again as women. Today, I want to give back something hands-on: tools, treasures, and reminders that make motherhood not just survivable, but beautiful.
Because every mum deserves to feel like a Yummy Mummy.
